At The Conveniently Located Family Dental Clinic in Downtown Ottawa & Ottawa South
When we say clear braces, most people think of clear plastic aligners like Invisalign or ClearCorrect. These aligners are made from a mold of your teeth & look like a thin mouthguard. Because they are clear, these aligners are nearly invisible. People won't know you're wearing an orthodontic appliance, even from a few feet away. They work by gently pushing your teeth into a position that matches the custom-designed aligner.
We refer to this type of orthodontic treatment as clear aligners or invisible braces. We should also note that clear aligners treatments usually cost the same as traditional braces options.
Invisalign / Invisible Braces - It's the clearly beautiful way to straighten your teeth at any age.
Malocclusion - Teeth Misalignment
Like many adults, you might feel that your teeth aren't as straight and healthy looking as you wish they were. You may have worn braces as a teenager, but because you stopped wearing your retainer at some point, your teeth have relapsed over time. So now they are a little crooked - doctors call this "malocclusion". It's a very common problem among adults.
Invisalign and Teeth Alignment
You've probably seen ads for Invisalign aligners - the clear way to straighten teeth and create a healthy smile. It is safe, easy, and relatively quick - the average treatment lasts about one year. And, because the aligners are virtually clear, almost no one can tell you're in treatment unless you tell them. By using a series of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign straightens your teeth right before your eyes. Change the aligners about every two weeks and your teeth will move, little by little, toward the smile you've always wanted - one that everyone can see!
Invisalign - Comfort and Aesthetics
Invisalign aligners are comfortable to wear, and don't require you to change your busy lifestyle. You will visit our office every month or two to check your progress and get a new set of aligners. Because the aligners are removable, you can continue to eat your favorite foods while brushing and flossing normally to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

Treatment Process
- Every dental procedure begins with a consultation to determine that a specific treatment will fit the patient.
- Once a determination has been reached about a patient's eligibility, dr. Kubicka will design a plan specific to the patient's needs.
- This is when the patient begins to wear the first in a series of aligner trays, custom made to fit their program.
- Each aligner tray is worn for a period of two weeks. The length of the treatment will vary from individual to individual, as each will have different needs. This translates into some treatments may last as long as fifteen months.
- At the end of the treatment cycle, the fifteen months, or so, it is time to remove the last aligner tray and reveal the results as a new smile with straighter teeth.
